Economic downturn continues to beset trade groups

Several associations have announced staff layoffs and budget cuts in recent weeks, as the recession ailing the country continues to make its mark on lobbying industry groups. And no sector is immune. Industries as diverse as music and movies, restaurants and home building are feeling the impact of a downturn alongside financial groups.
